Delhi’s IGI Airport, also hailed as the 12th busiest airport in the world, is all set to tackle the bustling crowd that it sees. Yes, in a welcome move, the Delhi airport will soon have an Air Train that will connect all its terminals to the metro. Reportedly, Delhi International Airport Pvt Ltd (DIAL) has come up with a detailed route for the proposed Air Train. It will also connect the airport to Aerocity and the hotel centre. 

An Air Train, also termed as Automatic People Mover (APM), for Delhi’s facility is pegged to cost around INR 2000 - 2500 crores. As per the plans, the said train will be complete in around 3-4 years once it goes to ground. The expansion for terminals T1 and T3 is expected to be complete by mid-2022. It will also have a fourth runway and an elevated taxi track.
