Taj Mahal is located in the historical city of Agra. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial for his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Constructed entirely out of white marble in the 17th century, it is among the finest edifices of Mughal architecture. 

Fatehpur Sikri was founded in 16th century by Mughal Emperor Akbar. It is essentially a fortified city built by the king and had been the capital of his Empire for fifteen years. Now a UNESCO world heritage site and a famous tourist attraction, it is a fine example of Mughal architecture.

An important architectural masterpiece of the Mughal Empire is Akbar's Tomb. It is a mausoleum that houses the mortal remains of King Akbar. The tomb is believed to have been built between 1605 and 1618. The tomb is situated in Sikandra, the outskirts of Agra and spreads over an area of 119 acres.
 

Kashi Vishwanath Temple is regarded as one of the most popular Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located in the heart of Varanasi, the temple is a core of faith for millions of Hindus. 
 

The Assi Ghat is placed at the confluence of the Rivers Assi and Ganga and is famous for the large Shiva Lingam installed under a peepal tree. It has immense religious importance and has been mentioned in the Puranas and various legends as well.
 

An ancient shrine in Vrindavan, the Gokulnanda Temple houses multiple deities of Radha-Vinoda of Lokanatha Goswami, Vijaya Govinda of Baladeva Vidyabhusana and Radha Gokulananda of Vishwanath Cakravarti.
 

Also known as Sri Krishna-Balaram Mandir, this temple was built in 1975 on the instructions of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who is the founder-acharya of ISKCON. The core objective of this temple was to increase awareness about the Vedic scriptures and the Bhagavad Gita. Even today, it is regarded as one of the most popular temples in Vrindavan.
 

The Dwarkadhish temple, touted as one of the holiest temples in the city of Mathura, is famous all over the country for its elaborate architecture and paintings. Built only in the year 1814, the temple is relatively new but has managed to gain the scared impression by the grace of the almighty deity housed inside it. 
 

Rangji Temple is situated on the Vrindavan - Mathura Marg in Vrindavan, Mathura. Dedicated to Lord Sri Goda Ranagamannar - a South indian goddess and Lord Ranganatha - an incarnation of God Vishnu, the temple also follows a south Indian architectural pattern for its insides. 
 

This is a pair of caves, in which there is a tiny entrance, through which one can barely pass. Water trickles down in streams through the other cave, which can rise up to the length of our knees. It is said that Lord Rama and Lakshman once held their secret meetings, which is validated apparently by the throne like structures present in the cave.
 

Hanuman Dhara is the name of the spring which sprouted from a rock when Lord Ram shot an arrow into it to calm down an enraged Hanuman when he came to this place to extinguish the fire that was caught in his tail after he returned from burning Lanka.
 

The Ashoka Pillar crafted out of stone is an impressive structure with four lions at the top. This 50 m long pillar along with the Dhamek Stupa, are Ashoka's gift to Buddhism and the entire complex has a calm aura to it. A number of monks are spotted meditating around the compound. 
 

According to the story of Sita Kund, while returning home from the exile goddess Sita felt thirsty and thus, Lord Lakshman pierced an arrow into the ground from where the water came out of it in the form of a fountain.
