2 Har Ki Pauri Haridwar

Haridwar is one of the most ancient pilgrimage centers in India that has been reverence from times immemorial. Hari means (Lord/God) and Dwar means Gateway. Hence Haridwar means Gateway to the Lord. According to the India mythology, it is one of the four places where drops of elixir, Amrita accidentally spilled over from the pitcher or Kumbha, in which it was being carried away by the celestial bird Garuda, the vehicle of Lord Vishnu.

3 Mansa Devi Temple

The temple layout is such that you are obliged to visit several minor shrines before the main idol of Mansa devi & obliged to shell out "donations" as requested by the priests there at each . Would suggest to put any money in the offering box rather than handing it over to the priests . Regretably didnt find any spirituality here .

4 Daksh Mahadev Temple

This is one the biggest statues of Lord Shiva in Haridwar. It's located in kankhal. Area and it's name is dakshprajapati. 15 mins drive from Haridwar main area but worth it. This temple becomes a centre of attraction in the month of Sawan when all the devotees flock to the temple to worship.

5 Patanjali Yog

This is a famous ashram of Baba ramdev and contains a hospital and yoga centre within... The place is a jewel for people performing yoga. This is a state-of-art Ayurvedic Hospital by Shri Baba Ramdevji... wonderfully constructed place with lots of greens and gardens around.

Pawan Dham his is a big temple with lots of glass work in it. Its really beautiful and Everyone will love this place. A neat and clean temple, not at much distance from Har Ki Pauri and Shanti Kunj. The Idols are ina symmetric manner and adorning beautiful dresses and matching ornaments .

8 Chandi Devi Temple

Chandi Devi and Mansa Devi are two prime attractions of Haridwar and both are situated on top of hills which are on either side of the river Ganga. Both offer a picturesque view of the town Haridwar. However I will put Chandi Devi ahead of Mansa Devi if one compares the ability to provide a better scenic view from top of Haridwar
